Indications
ReproBone® is indicated for treating defects of long bones, pelvis and extremities. ReproBone® granules may also be used in spine surgery (spondylodesis).
Intended Use
ReproBone® is a synthetic bone graft intended to fill traumatically and surgically created bone defects that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.
Volume stable ultra high porosity
Over 80% porosity allows rapid bone ingrowth throughout the interconnected porous structure. ReproBone® granules maintain bone volume throughout the whole repair and regeneration process. They provide support without significantly limiting natural bone density. The pores surface area and topography is optimised to adsorb biomolecules and facilitate cell attachment in order to stiumulate bone regeneration. The microporosity within the HA/ß-TCP structure assists the transfer of essential nutrients.
Osteoconductive
Osteoconductive scaffold supports early vascularisation and rapid bone regeneration throughout the implant. With a composition similar to the mineral component of human bone ReproBone® undergoes complete resorption at a controlled rate.
Easy application
ReproBone® granules when mixed with blood form a cohesive mixture that is easily handled. Granules can be mixed with autograft as a bone graft extender if required.
